Kempsville Elementary Library Happenings

On September 18th, students at KES kicked off the Accelerated Reader program.  Students will be earning points by reading books and taking AR quizzes.  Students will have a monthly goal from Mr. Beard and a grading period goal set by their teacher.  Students can earn reading charms by making Mr. Beard’s goal.  Students earning the grading period goal will be recognized at Pride Assemblies.  There is a display near the library that keeps track of student points.  It is updated weekly by parent volunteers.  So far this year KES students have earned 1524 points.  Way to go Indians!
